Cancellation and refunds

You are buying entry, not time spent. What that means for your 14-day right, and when a refund is given anyway.

Last updated 7 September 2026

Draft — not yet reviewed by a solicitor

These terms are a working draft written to be reviewed, not legal advice. They have not been checked by a qualified solicitor and should not be relied on as final. Business entity and contact details are still to be confirmed.

01

What you are buying

A window is admission, not consumption. You are paying to be able to get in for a period of time, in the same way a ticket admits you to a venue for a night.

Once you are in, how much you use it is up to you. Reading everything or reading one page does not change what you paid for, and changing your mind afterwards is not a refund.

02

Your legal right to cancel

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, a consumer buying digital content online normally has 14 days to cancel and get a refund.

That right is lost once you ask for the content to be supplied and acknowledge that you are giving the right up. Checkout asks you to confirm exactly that before you can pay, and records the wording you agreed to.

03

Before you open it

A window does not start when you pay. It starts the first time you open what it unlocks.

So if you have bought a window and not opened it yet, you have not received anything — and within 14 days of purchase you can still cancel it for a full refund. Get in touch with the email you bought with.

04

Once you have opened it

The moment you open it, the content has been supplied and the 14-day right no longer applies. That is what you agreed to at checkout.

An unopened window lapses 90 days after purchase and is not refunded after that.

05

Refunds given anyway

Separately from the legal position, a refund will be given where:

  • The site was unavailable for a meaningful part of your window.
  • You were charged twice, or charged in error.
  • The access you paid for did not actually unlock.
  • You bought the wrong window and have not yet opened it.
06

How to ask

Use the contact page with the email you bought with. Refunds go back to the original payment method, usually within five to ten working days once approved.

Courtside and The Table are agreed individually and their terms are set out in that agreement, not here.
