Profile

Self-directed entrepreneur and multidisciplinary operator. I take an idea, research whether it holds up, design the model, build the system that runs it, and then find out whether I was right — across business development, digital products, AI and automation, marketing, sport and community.

Founder or builder of several early-stage ventures spanning reputation management, emergency trade services, local business marketing, grassroots basketball, AI business systems, property data and waste services. I am as interested in the operating system behind a business — the process, the automation, the honest status of it — as in the idea itself.

Alongside this I hold CSCS and plant training and work in the construction and infrastructure environment, which is a real second pathway and the reason the trades-facing work is designed by somebody who has been on the site rather than only in the market report.

Comfortable in unfamiliar territory, quick to research it properly, and willing to kill my own ideas when the evidence says to.

Experience

Founder / DirectorPlay On The Court

2025 — present

UK basketball, sport marketing and community development

Building Play On The Court as a sport, marketing and community-development organisation focused on basketball participation and culture in the UK.

  • Developed the brand, live web presence and a six-week schools basketball programme plan.
  • Built connections with local sporting and educational organisations, including Dudley College and West Bromwich Albion Basketball Club.
  • Researched the UK grassroots landscape and the NBA Europe opportunity window, then rewrote the original plan when the opening fundraising premise did not survive that research.
  • Developing grassroots basketball opportunities, open-court activity and community events.
  • Designed a connected pipeline of products — court finding, stat tracking, officiating, highlights and training technology — deliberately sharing one set of foundations rather than running as separate ventures.
  • Set safeguarding as an architecture decision rather than a setting: check-in based location by default, and a structurally separate youth product.

No funding raised and no courts built. Everything above is stated at that maturity on the public site.

FounderRevved Up Marketing Reviews (RUMR) / The 5 Star Review Agency

2026 — present

Reputation management for local business — the5star.agency

A reputation-management service that automates the Google review loop for local businesses: request, respond, filter and share.

  • Built the brand, positioning and print collateral — logo, posters and QR capture cards — and put the domain live.
  • Designed the customer-facing capture around the moment of highest goodwill: a QR code in the customer's hand rather than an email two days later.
  • Designed a free entry tier so a business can watch the loop work before paying for it.
  • Currently confirming that review handling stays inside Google's review policies, which prohibit gating or selectively suppressing negative reviews.

Founder / BuilderAI Minted

2026 — present

AI-operated business factory and operating system

An AI-native organisation designed to research, validate, build and operate business units under human governance.

  • Wrote the governance layer before building any agent: governance charter, authority and autonomy policy, approval and escalation framework, financial policy, agent lifecycle, QA gate and business unit standard.
  • Implemented a record store with an append-only event log and a financial authority engine enforced in code rather than in policy prose.
  • Designed agent roles, KPI and evaluation frameworks, and an opportunity-discovery process for finding and assessing business cases.
  • Labelled every document by maturity — current, planned, proposed or deprecated — with one authoritative document holding the honest state of the system.
  • Phase 0 foundation complete; Phase 1 executive operating system in progress.

One agent exists, at autonomy level zero with £0 spending authority. Zero automations, business units, revenue or spend — stated plainly rather than dressed up.

FounderA Callout Company

2026

Emergency trade callout platform

An emergency-response platform for local trades built around a two-agreement model: a real price before dispatch, and a second explicit agreement before any additional work is charged.

  • Wrote the business blueprint — pricing, commission split, dispatch, triage, job states — then built the platform against it.
  • Delivered a tested business-logic core covering pricing, commission and dispatch, a 26-table relational schema, and a 41-route application spanning the public site, estimator, customer job tracking, operator command centre and trade console.
  • Verified end to end against real seeded data: estimate through booking, dispatch, diagnosis, second-agreement quote, acceptance and completion, with correct commission maths at every step.
  • Wrote the honest blocker documentation at the same time as the build rather than afterwards.

Not trading. Legal review of terms and liability is required before any real transaction, and no trade service members are signed up.

FounderShow Up Local

2026 — present

Local business visibility and reputation service

A productised service getting local trades and small businesses visible, credible and able to manage the enquiries that follow.

  • Built the full delivery system before selling: offer and pricing, intake questionnaire, audit scorecard methodology, fulfilment SOP, onboarding checklist, content engine, monthly reporting and a complete outreach script.
  • Built an eleven-tab operations workspace and connected the public site's enquiry form directly into it, verified with a real submission rather than assumed.
  • Produced live websites for real West Midlands businesses through the service.

Web and marketing buildsLocal business clients

2026

Plumbing and drainage · barbering · gardening and landscaping

Sites built from each business's own photography and own words, with no invented credentials.

  • Built and verified a plumbing and drainage site whose callback form writes real submissions into the owner's own sheet, confirmed end to end.
  • Produced three variants for a barber shop, including a launch-ready build with colour and type matched to the shop's real signage.
  • Built a gardening and landscaping site from the owner's own gallery photography and their own words rather than stock imagery.
  • Held every unconfirmed detail out of the live page and into build documentation instead.

Concept developmentThe BlackTop Ltd and independent projects

2025 — present

Sport, marketing, property, automotive, waste and digital products

Independent research, design and development of business concepts across several sectors, each taken to the point where the model can be judged honestly.

  • Property Deal Intelligence — UK deal sourcing and analysis using structured data and automated research.
  • Waste removal — operating model, licensing and disposal rules, pricing against tip cost, and customer acquisition.
  • PlayAuto360 — automotive services and customer acquisition.
  • Assisted Innovations — practical application of emerging technology.
  • NBA Data Engine — commercial applications for historical basketball data.
  • TrueFlight — live first-person shot-trajectory feedback, taken to a working browser prototype.
  • Fantasy Stat Tokens — researched across competitors, regulation and data supply, then deliberately held on legal and dependency grounds.

Strengths

Builder, not commentator

I would rather have a working prototype and an honest blocker list than a polished deck about something that does not exist.

Self-directed research

Comfortable going into an unfamiliar industry, technology or regulatory position and coming back with something usable.

Systems thinking

I instinctively turn a task into a repeatable process, and a process into something automated.

Willing to be wrong

I have killed my own headline plan and held back a finished concept on legal grounds. Being wrong early is cheaper than being wrong publicly.

Evidence discipline

I label the maturity of everything I build, and I do not claim results I cannot show.

Range

Equally comfortable on a construction site, in a community sports hall and in a codebase — and the combination keeps producing ideas that people in one of those alone would not see.

Interests
